About the Council:

The Prince William Sound Regional Citizens’ Advisory Council (PWSRCAC) is an independent non-profit corporation whose mission is to promote environmentally safe operation of the Valdez Marine Terminal and associated tankers. Our work is guided by the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, and our contract with Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. PWSRCAC's 18 member organizations are communities in the region affected by the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill, as well as commercial fishing, aquaculture, Native, recreation, tourism and environmental groups.

Maritime Operations Project Manager

The council is seeking skilled & experienced applicant for Maritime Operations Project Manager

Responsibilities include working with volunteers, staff and contractors to:

    • develop projects;
    • prepare project plans;
    • determine resources; develop budgets;
    • and contract management.  

Must have strong communications, technical writing, and organizational skills and be able to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, industry and regulators to promote environmentally responsible transportation of oil through Prince William Sound.  Maritime experience preferred. Related experience and skills considered.   Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Oil Spill Prevention & Response Operations Program Manager

Oil spill response operationsThe council is seeking a skilled & experienced applicant for Oil Spill Prevention & Response Operations Program Manager

Responsibilities include:

  • observing and reporting on oil spill drills, exercises and preparing comments on written oil spill response plans and regulations. 

Duties also include working with volunteers, staff and contractors to:

  • develop projects;
  • prepare project plans;
  • determine resources;
  • develop budgets;
  • and contract management.  

Must have strong communications, technical writing, and organizational skills and be able to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, industry and regulators to promote environmentally responsible transportation of oil through Prince William Sound.  Oil spill preparedness and response experience preferred. Related experience and skills considered.   Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
