Northward Spread of Marine Nonindigenous Species along Western North America

This report, submitted by Smithsonian researchers, forecasts the northward spread of four invasive species to Alaska waters.

The report concluded all four species, an invasive barnacle, the European green crab, the club tunicate, and the Atlantic periwinkle could find suitable environments in Alaska waters to survive and could be indicative of other invasive species spreading to Alaska.
